Denver Coffee Shops: D Bar Desserts Serves up 4 Exclusive Coffee Blends
On Tuesday, July 26th 2011 D Bar Desserts hosted a private coffee flight tasting through Allegro Coffee to kick off the serving of “Aida’s Grand Reserve.” Allegro Coffee, based in Thornton, CO, is proud to be distributing four premium coffee blends from Aida Batlle, who owns four coffee farms in El Salvador on the Santa Ana Volcano. “Aida’s Grand Reserve”--a flight of four incredible varieties– will be available for tasting at D Bar Desserts in Denver, CO beginning Monday, August 1st 2011 until supplies run out. Only 75lbs of each variety have been sold in auction, so this offer will go quickly! As far as Denver coffee shops go, you won’t want to skip out on this one!
The four varieties available for tasting at D Bar Desserts are:
1) Finca Kilimanjaro
This extremely sweet coffee has flavors of black currant combined with the fruity tastes of papaya, blood orange, strawberries, raspberries and apricots. It is 65% Kenya Process and 35% Washed.
2) Finca Los Alpes
This blend has a tart-sweetness effect with traces of dried apricot, leather, fig, dates, golden raisins, brandy and cherry with a hint of acidity. It is 50% washed, 30% semi-washed and 20% natural process.
3) Finca Mauritania
This even bodied coffee has a plethora of favors in every sip from brown sugar, cedar and toffee to butter, lemon, banana, clove spice and dark chocolate. Along with these wonderful flavors comes a pleasant underlying citric acidity with every taste. It is 50% natural process, 30% Ethiopia process, and 20% Kenya process.
4) Finca Tanzania
This elegant blend embodies the mouth with flavors of tangerine, chocolate and brown sugar. It is a 100% washed process.
The four varieties of coffee all have beautiful contrast, amazing aromas & bodies, and are perfectly paired with one another to create a vivid experience for the palate.
